Snow in Sapporo!
Exulting news for travelers!
The first snow in this season has been observed in Sapporo early this morning! And surprisingly, it remained on the ground at maximum 6cm.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo and other western side of Japan recorded yesterday over 25 degree Celsius. It's almost summer!
But this is not so much rare to happen. Due to its land shape which is long and thin from north to south, you can ski in Hokkaido northernmost in Japan, while others are swimming in the sea in Okinawa which is in southernmost in March. Additionally, the autumn is a season where warm air from Pacific ocean and cold air from Russia conflicts and go back and forward. This causes drastic change as well as deviation in climate, so it is a season travelers are bothered about clothes. We too!
